LATIN PERCUSSION

We’ll cover important topics including: son clave, rhumba clave, 6/8 clave, tumbao, guaguanco, bossa nova, mambo, and songo beats, etc. We’ll work through each rhythm thoroughly, including variations. Once you feel comfortable playing on your own, we’ll play along with recordings to further develop your authentic feel.

Styles will be explored with a variety of instruments including congas, bongos, timbales, djembe, and more.
