AS A PERCUSSIONIST AND EDUCATOR, I...

  • play professionally in multiple genres including rock, pop, jazz, ska, reggae, latin, funk, EDM, musical theatre, and more. Current projects are Boss Riot & Mad Mexicans.

  • have toured extensively, performing in nearly every state from CA to NY, and internationally.

  • studied drumming and percussion with many artists, teachers and clinicians since college to ensure a well rounded education.

  • am a member of the Vic Firth Education team, Texas Music Educator Association (TMEA), and Percussive Arts Society (PAS).

  • began teaching in San Diego in 1991 and discovered sharing the art of drumming with others is one of my life's greatest passions.

  • instructed several high schools in North Texas since 1994. Currently teaching percussion and drumline at Prestonwood Christian Academy.

  • developed the curriculum for, and taught at the Rock n' Roll summer camp; Camp Jam 2005.

  • have personally taught tens of thousands of private lessons...and counting!

  • have numerous successful students who have reached their goals and beyond.

  • have worked with professional drummers to improve their technique and composition skills.

  • continue my professional development by studying with respected drummers like Steve Gadd, Stanton Moore and Mike Portnoy.

  • have performed at festivals, on television, on the radio, and in world class venues such as American Airlines Center, Starplex, House of Blues, Fox Theater, Trees, The Granada, Kessler Theatre, Six Flags theme parks, Carnival cruise lines, and more.

  • have won multiple Dallas Observer Music Awards and Best of Dallas titles.

  • have developed a unique approach to teaching that is effective, educational, and fun!

  • am able to strengthen my students' passion for drumming by helping them develop the skills and the confidence to express their own musical creativity.
